Some musicians express it as one-and-ah two-and-ah.
120 is a fast speed. And yet it is used often for both jigs–6/8, and reels–4/4.
Unless you ae advanced, set the metronome to about 80 and try playing your 6/8 tune at that speed.

i understand 4/4 ie 1 2 3 4 at 60 bpm, but confused to do the above,. Does it mean i put the metronome at 120 and count 1 2 3 4 5 6. If so it would be too fast for me
